About
This Site
So what is this site about? Well I dont expect this to get on the first hundred pages of google results, but I have had the domain for over two years now so I thought it was about time to do something with it.
First and foremost I want this site to be some kind of portfolio of my work. No payed work, as of yet, but I have programs that I have done for university assignments, to show off, or done while learning a new language. They will all be added to work, eventually, and I will add any miscellaneous tit bits to the undefined section.

My background is very much based in science, in particular Physics and Astronomy, but I am also a competant computer programmer. I completed a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics in 2004 and I finished studying for an MSc in Computer Science in 2005, both at the University of Bristol, England.
Programming
I am capable of programming in a variety of programming, both web and compiled/interpreted, languages including
- C/C++

- PHP
- Java

- Javascript
For the websites I run, all pages are valid XHTML String and CSS regardless if they are static HTML or dynamically generated JSP or PHP. I also have experience in managing both an Apache HTTP and an Apache Tomcat webserver, run in conjunction with MySQL databases, on both Windows XP and Red Hat Linux.
I can work in a variety of programs including Dreamweaver and Photoshop for design, Emacs or Notepad for programming. This is not an exclusive list, and I am always expanding my knowledgebase.
